LETS SPEAK ON NATURAL WOMENS HEALTH:

Women every day are dealing with many uncomfortable health problems, from just... being a woman.

There are many misconceptions about women’s’ health such as how UTI’s happen, how yeast infections happen, and how BV happens.

There seems to be this idea that having imbalances in the vaginal region correlate with bad hygiene etc. Although that could definitely be the reason for some women’s issues, its definitely not a reason for all. The body of a woman is extremely delicate, and some women are more prone, than others to imbalances. This blog is NOT to advise you to not use prescribed antibiotics/medications from doctors. It is to show you alternative remedies for women’s ailments that are completely natural. Ive come up with these remedies through extensive research and trial on myself and ones close to me.

A yeast infection is an overgrowth of candida(yeast). Candida fungus is literally part of your natural flora, and resides in places like the gut, and vagina, in minimal amounts. Yeast can overgrow in the vaginal region for a numerous amount of reasons. Here they some:

•hormone imbalances

•medications/antibiotics

•compromised immune system

•sexual intercourse( can irritate cervix and vagina causing imbalances flora)

•not enough lactobacillus bacteria in your flora( these bacteria create an acid that controls overgrowth of yeast) hint-hint: why women should be taking probiotics

•changes in routine, soaps

•tight pants, wet bathing suits, heat

So as you guys can see, reasons for yeast infections occur due to a variety of  reasons, and yeast infections are a lot more common than you think.

There are natural remedies to treat yeast infections. It definitely requires some time and effort, to see what works for you, but here are some remedies that had worked for me:

oregano and apple cider vinegar bath: Apple cider vinegar is a great anti-fungal. I add 2 cups to a cool bath, and only 2 drops of 100% pure/therapeutic grade oregano oil into the bath. Oregano oil is extremely strong and you can literally feel it working. I repeat only TWO DROPS, and never apply directly to skin.  This is my favorite remedy for yeast.. try this once to twice a day until symptoms relieve.

Clove oil and lemongrass oil spray: in a 4oz spray bottle combine 2 drops lemongrass, 2 drops clove and fill the rest with  liquid coconut oil. The coconut oil acts as a ‘carrier’ oil and dilutes out the lemongrass and clove, so that it is able to be used topically. Coconut oil is super light, and can be used on such delicate areas; coconut oil in itself is an antibacterial/anti -fungal as well.  lightly spray twice a day over affected area( DO NOT APPLY TO THE INSIDE OF YOUR VAGINA THAT SHIT WILL BURN)

^do the same as above but put 3 drops of tea tree oil and fill the 4oz spray bottle with liquid coconut oil. (you can use distilled water as well)

Black seed oil when applied topically to the vaginal region in small amounts may also help with yeast infections. Its very light on the skin, and is extremely moisturizing, so you can try that too.                                These things are all great, but do not over do it. Try one method, and stick to that if it works. If it doesn’t work, then I would try other methods, and obviously always consult a doctor if the yeast infection is out of control, doesn’t get better, and use of natural remedy.

Urinary Tract infections are extremely common in women. A UTI means that some sort of bacteria had entered your urethra, and is causing infection. Your urinary tract is considered a ‘sterile’ part of your body, so when a foreign bacteria is introduced, pain, inflammation, and urgency to urinate is common. A lot of people get UTI confused with STI, and I am here to clear things up. A urinary tract infection is NOT a sexually transmitted disease or infection. The number one cause of UTI is E.COLI. Guess where the largest populations of E.COLI lay? IN YOUR BUTT.So, there clearly are many reasons why this bacteria from your butt, can get to your urethra. First of all, the holes anatomically are super close , so theres that. There are other bacteria from the GI tract that can cause a UTI, but 80-90 percent of them are from E.coli. Heres some more reasons for UTI

•sexual intercourse is one of the main reasons women get UTI’s. NO NOT BECAUSE IT IS TRANSMITTED FROM YOUR PARTNER TO YOU. Think about it, during sex theres fluids moving around everywhere, rubbing, your butts out, and all that. So, the bacteria can easily get passed from the anal region to the urethra. Hence why you HAVE TO PEE after sex, and definitely wipe the region. I know, its gross but get over it because this is real life stuff. So your own butthole is to blame..

•poor hygiene (not keeping ya butt clean, etc)

thongs( yes thongs) because lets think.. thongs chill up your butt all day. you move around, you pick your wedgies, all that. Think about the bacteria that can be moving around in there!!! Easy way to get a UTI if you are prone to them, is wearing G strings.

menopause

kidney stones/issues

diabetes

urinary catheters

tampons/ holding in urine for too long

Ive been trying many different remedies for UTI:Heres some that have worked for me:

•D-mannose. D-mannose is my holy grail for UTI! whenever I feel one coming on, I immediately go to this. D mannose is a sugar that naturally occurs in the human body. The mechanism of action is that it sticks to the bacteria( usually E.coli) and prevents the bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urethra. I use D-mannose from NOW foods. Take the recommended dosage, and obviously drink a lot of water. D-mannose can be used as a preventative measure as well, when women have chronic urinary tract infections. I suggest taking one after sex and the day after having sex if you are unusually prone to UTI.

Oregano oil/ tea tree oil/ apple-cider vinegar/ black seed oil bath: combine 2 cups of apple cider vinegar, 1-2 drops of oregano oil, 5 drops tea tree oil, and 3ml of black seed oil into a cool temperature bath.(avoid hot baths if you have a yeast infection or UTI, the heat promotes more proliferation of yeast or bacteria). Soak for 15-20 minutes 1-2 times daily

apple cider vinegar shot: take 1 shot of ACV at night, one shot in the morning.

drink plenty of water + cranberry pills(cranberry has a similar action as D-mannose, but id go with D-mannose and just drinking cranberry juice. I have found the cranberry pills aren’t as effective as D-mannose

Bacterial vaginosis is also very common in women, and it definitely isn’t pleasant. BV is caused by an overgrowth of certain naturally occurring bacteria in your vagina. When the ‘good bacteria’ which is called lactobacillus is too low, than that can lead way to the overgrowth of BV Causing bacteria. BV can cause a fishy odor to arise from ‘down there’ and you may experience strong discharge. Again, this doesn’t mean you have poor hygiene(overly obsessive ladies who douche too much to be ‘clean’ are actually more prone to bv) or have been sleeping with a million people. I mean don’t get me wrong, those things definitely make a woman more prone to BV, but most women get BV for a number of reasons. Anything that upsets the natural flora of the vagina can cause BV, such as antibiotics, medications, and douching. Some women are prone to BV, and are just bound to get it. Many women do not have high enough levels of lactobacillus, to keep the overgrowth of BV causing bacteria at bay. BV is not an STD; with that being said, sex does increase the chances of getting BV(research isn’t sure why it increases the chances) but it makes sense. Think about it, requires someone else’s flora/fluids to enter yours, so that easily could cause an imbalance in your vaginas pH and natural flora.

Here’s my natural remedies for BV you can try:

•First of all PROBIOTICS! That is the best way to help treat BV! Highly recommend taking daily probiotics with one of the methods below.

•Tea tree oil(100% pure and therapeutic grade) and coconut oil spray: in a 4oz spray bottle combine 5 drops of tea tree oil, and fill the rest with liquid coconut oil. Lightly spray 1-2x daily over infected area( don’t put the spray bottle up your vag just spray over the lips and lightly rub it into the area.)

•Black seed oil( apply lightly in area( but don’t stick it inside) 1-2x a day

•Mix 2 cups of apple cider vinegar with 1/2 cup of baking soda, and add to a cool bath. Soak for 15-20 minutes. You can add a couple drops of tea tree in there too.

*you can take an apple cider vinegar shot as well, as apple cider vinegar acts as a ‘tonic’ to treat infection and detox debris from your body.

As a woman, I would take probiotics daily, to keep the flora of the vagina balanced. Keep your immune system strong, make sure your taking all your vitamins and minerals, and drink plenty of WATER. All of these will contribute to a healthy system. Any questions? Ask away! I am always available to help anyone out with the best of my knowledge. I been extensively researching women’s health, natural remedy, natural health for the past few years, and been gaining knowledge through literature, online scholarly articles, and trial and error. As I said before, I am blogging this to you guys to open your eyes, and to open the worlds eyes, as to what women every single day have to deal with.
